CBE: Proficiency & Risk Management
For primary care clinicians who perform screening clinical breast exams.
The California Department of Public Health, Cancer Detection Section (CDS)
offers a skills-based course for clinicians in California who provide breast cancer
screening services for women.
The curriculum, Clinical Breast Examination: Proficiency and Risk Management,
was developed by national experts in breast cancer early detection in response to studies
that report inadequate clinical breast exam training for physicians, nurse practitioners
and physician assistants.
This CBE training is offered in two modalities: the Course
Method described here and the Office Detail Method.
Register Online! See the Course Schedule for course dates, locations and registration information.
