CDS Programs

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Cancer Detection Section (CDS) offers free breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services through the Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts. The program is funded through the California Department of Public Health from State of California tobacco tax revenue and federal grant monies. logo

The mission of the Cancer Detection Section is to save lives by preventing and reducing the devastating effects of cancer for all Californians through early detection, diagnosis and treatment, with special emphasis on the underserved. The CDS program, Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts assists underserved women by working with local providers to offer free breast and cervical cancer screening examinations and diagnostic services.

This section of this website hosts information for providers enrolled in the Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts. For information about other CDS programs, please visit the Cancer Detection Section (CDS) website.
