Candace Moorman, MPH

Candace Moorman

Ms. Moorman is the Chief of the Professional Education Unit at the Cancer Detection Section, California Department of Public Health. She is responsible for the development and oversight of a Statewide Training Center for breast and cervical cancer education for primary care providers. She has conceptualized and managed the development of several nationally recognized patient education materials and provider curriculum products including Breast Cancer Review, Clinical Breast Examination: Proficiency and Risk Management, Health Care Providers and Women: Partners in Communication and Breast Cancer Diagnostic Algorithms. Her team provides technical assistance (TA) to health professional schools, residency programs and professional organizations on the utilization of these products. Ms. Moorman also provides TA to national and international government and health organizations on professional education. She is a certified MammaCare specialist for both CBE and BSE. She is a breast cancer survivor and is dedicated to improving the breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment services for all women.
