Jana Jahns, MEd

Jana Jahns, MEd., is the Professional Education Training Coordinator for the Center for Cancer Quality Assurance and Professional Education. Her primary responsibility is coordination of the Clinical Breast Examination: Proficiency and Risk Management program for the Professional Education Unit of the Cancer Detection Section, California Department of Public Health. In this role, Ms. Jahns works with a Practicum and Didactic Faculty of respected breast experts and Patient Instructors to improve the clinical breast exam skills of clinicians throughout California. She also helped develop and release tools to improve accurate reporting of data elements by provider offices. A graduate of Texas A&M University with a Master’s Degree in Health Education, Ms. Jahns has extensive experience with program development, evaluation and oversight at non-profit agencies, managed care organizations, and community-based collaborations.
