Lisa Kwizera Asmus, MPH

Lisa Asmus, MPH, is a research analyst for the Center
for Cancer Quality Assurance and Professional Education
(QAPE). At the QAPE, Ms. Asmus is primarily responsible
for statistical analysis of the breast and cervical
screening program data, and developing recommendations
directed at improving the quality of program service
delivery. Ms. Asmus holds a Master of Public Health
degree with an emphasis in Epidemiology and currently
spends her other employment time offering program
evaluation services for community-based agencies.
As a program evaluator for the past 10 years, Ms.
Asmus has gained extensive experience analyzing
program data using statistical packages and database
queries, overseeing data collection protocols,
creating data collection forms and databases, managing
data collection protocols, advising agency staff
in data collection issues, training staff in evaluation
and writing evaluation reports. Previously, as
a Bilingual Health Educator at a local community
clinic, Ms. Asmus oversaw the implementation of
the Breast Cancer Early Detection Program in her
clinic when the program first began, thus giving
her special knowledge about the current project.
Ms. Asmus enjoys data analysis, is well versed
in statistical methods and is especially interested
in health care disparities that affect women of
different ethnicities, such as the care and treatment
of breast cancer.
