Clinical Breast Exam:
Proficiency and Risk Management -
Course Curricula
This training curriculum was developed by a national workgroup of breast experts to assist faculty in teaching the elements of a high quality, comprehensive clinical breast exam. The course builds experientially using didactic presentation, audio-visuals, silicone breast models, and patient instructors.
Scientifically researched silicone breast models are utilized to increase confidence in distinguishing between normal nodularity and lumps.
Patient instructors provide immediate feedback and are considered one of the most valuable components of the course.
