Consensus Guidelines: Bethesda 2001 Terminology

The Bethesda System defines terminology for the classification and reporting of cervical cytology and is the current standard for reporting Pap test results. The system was last reviewed and revised in 2001 at a workshop sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and numerous professional societies. View the 2001 Terminology Table on the NCI Bethesda System Website Atlas.

Updated: February, 2009.
