Privacy Statement
We have implemented technology and security procedures to ensure the privacy of our registered Continuing Medical Education (CME) participants.
The information that we collect from registered CME participants is recorded in our databases for training activity provision and CME record keeping purposes only, and shared with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for their CME record keeping purposes.
Information we collect…
- All users – we track information provided to us by your browser to update, enhance, and market our website. Information collected includes the referring web site, the screen settings you use, the time and date of access, and other information that does not personally identify you.
- Registered users and customers – when you register for CME courses, conferences or events (online or standard) via this site, we collect the following information offered voluntarily by you: name, postal address, e-mail address, contact phone numbers, professional license number, professional title, employer’s name, participation status in Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts, CME Activities attempted and/or completed on this site (including percentage correct on examination), and fees paid. Access to our network resources and database is limited to our employees and consultants for the purposes of maintaining our online systems and processing CME credit awards.
Personal information stored in our database is shared with the California Department of Public Health, Cancer Detection Section for the purpose of awarding and recording CME credits. Information from individuals registering for standard courses, conferences or events will be shared with course staff for the purpose of providing requested services and/or trainings. Personal information collected on our site is never disclosed to third parties without the consent of affected individuals.
- Electronic Commerce customers – all electronic payment transactions occur on Authorize.net’s secure systems. We monitor transaction success vs failure, but do not have access to card/cardholder information. Please read Authorize.net’s policy statement prior to using our payment processing system.
